PET PORTRAITS

I can do a portrait of any pet you may have and can do them together in the same portrait!  Dogs, cats, horses, fish, snakes, chickens, cows...I love rendering all animals!

Size:  Consider where you want your portrait displayed in your home. Above the fireplace or on a desk top? Will there be one pet or more in the portrait? 8x10 is great for one pet but a bigger size is necessary for more than one and for a bigger wall space.

 

Photos:   I work from your photos of your pet that you email me. Digital photos from your phone are great.  It is very important for photos to be clear, well lit, and provide detail especially in the face and eyes.  I can work from older photos that may not be clear and still produce a lovely rendering of your pet, but please note that I cannot produce as detailed a portrait in those cases. The more photos of your pet you send, the better!

Deposit:  To book your portrait a non-refundable deposit of 50% of the purchase price is required.  I accept Interac e-Transfer and Paypal.

 

Dates:  I work in order of deposits received and may have portraits ahead of yours. I will provide you with a timeline for a completion date and keep you informed periodically about where you are slotted in my calendar. 

 

If you require your portrait for a special date or occasion I will do my best to work towards that date, but the best way to ensure a timely delivery is to get your deposit in early.

Starting your portrait:  When I am ready to start your portrait I will contact you.  I will send you a photo of the preliminary sketch/underpainting so that you have an idea of what the composition looks like.  I will also send a photo to you midway through and then one at the end when I am finished to ensure you are happy with the result.

Final payment:  Final payment is due when the portrait is completed and prior to shipping. An invoice and receipt will be provided upon request.

Shipping:  I ship worldwide by Canada Post or Fedex.  Your package will be insured and a tracking number provided.  Your portrait will be wrapped in a protective cover with tissue, bubble wrapped and placed in a flat cardboard box to ensure it will arrive in pristine condition.  Shipping is free for all Canadian orders.  All other orders will be charged an additional shipping fee.  Please inquire for a quote.

Materials and Care:  Your portrait will be rendered in mixed media acrylic and oil paint on quality stretched canvas.  I work with only the highest quality artist grade materials to ensure the colors remain vibrant for many years.  Stretched canvas is ready to hang or can be framed (without glass), depending on your preference.
